About the Founders
Anna Godek
Anna started acrobatic gymnastics at the age of seven and immediately connected with the sport. Her dedication and love for gymnastics led her to compete at the highest level, representing Poland internationally for nearly five years. During this time, she competed in multiple European and World Championships, consistently reaching finals and earning several national titles. She trained and performed in all roles (top, middle, and base) in both women’s pairs and trios, giving her a deep understanding of the sport from every angle.
Now coaching, Anna brings the same energy and commitment to helping young gymnasts grow. She finds it incredibly rewarding to watch athletes gain confidence, master new skills, and enjoy the process of improvement. Gymnastics has played a major role in shaping who she is, and she’s passionate about passing that experience on to the next generation.
Lewis Anderson
With nearly 20 years of experience in gymnastics, Lewis brings a unique blend of technical expertise and academic knowledge to Arc Acrobatic Academy. His journey has included coaching both artistic and acrobatic disciplines, but it was through his partnership with Arc’s co-founder that his passion for acrobatics truly took flight. Backed by a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology and a Master of Science in Physical Therapy, Lewis is committed to athlete development that goes beyond the gym. At Arc, athletes benefit from a training environment rooted in biomechanics, safe progressions, and a holistic approach to performance - empowering them to grow as gymnasts and individuals alike.
Our Services
At Arc Acrobatic Academy, we offer a Competitive Acrobatic Gymnastics Program that emphasizes strength, control, and precision in both static and dynamic positions - both on the ground and in the air.
Routines are choreographed to demonstrate a seamless blend of artistic movement, synchronized group acrobatic elements (such as holds, throws, and catches), and individual elements/tumbling skills. Precision, synchronization, and artistry are key performance components.
-
Acrobatic Gymnastics, or “Acro”, is a dynamic and artistic discipline of gymnastics where athletes perform in a partnership of pairs or groups - showcasing choreographed routines that combine dance, tumbling, and partner-based skills.
These routines include a combination of balances, throws, catches, and dynamic transitions, all performed to music and judged on artistry, difficulty, and execution.
-
Unlike Artistic Gymnastics, which features individual routines on apparatus like the beam or bars, Acrobatic Gymnastics is performed on a sprung floor without equipment, focusing on teamwork, synchronization, and trust between partners.
While Tumbling and Trampoline emphasize aerial skills and height, Acro highlights the strength, flexibility, and coordination required to lift, balance, throw and catch other athletes.
It’s a sport where success depends not just on individual skill, but on deep partnership and seamless collaboration.

USA Gymnastics (USAG) Levels 5-6
USAG Levels 5–6: These levels focus on mastering fundamental acrobatic skills with an emphasis on safety, gradually preparing athletes for the technical rigor of the FIG elite system or upper USAG Levels 7–10. Athletes progress through increasingly complex skills across balance, dynamic, and individual elements. Skills are compulsory at these levels.
USA Gymnastics (USAG) Levels 7-10
USAG Levels 7–10: These levels build on fundamental acrobatic skills, where difficulty and expectations increase - requiring further commitment from the athlete and their families. These levels offer the opportunity to compete internationally and/or at the national level.
At these levels, skill selection begins to shift away from compulsory elements - allowing for more original routines. At levels 8 and up, the partnerships begin to have more than one routine.
Federation of International Gymnastics (FIG) Levels
FIG Levels: Athletes enter this stream starting at Aspire (formerly Youth) that follows FIG rules, which eventually leads into Pre-Youth (formerly 11–16 age group), Youth (formerly 12–18 age group), Junior (formerly 13–19 age group), and Senior categories. Designed for athletes aged 9 and up, this level typically requires a greater time commitment, including increased training hours and higher competitive standards. Athletes in this category are considered to be part of the high performance stream and have the opportunity to compete internationally. Aspire has one routine, but all others levels under FIG have more than one.

“I had the privilege of being coached by Anna and Lewis for around five years, during which I competed on Team Canada. Under their guidance, I represented Canada at the Pan American Games and placed at World Trials - achievements I owe in large part to their dedication, expertise, and belief in me.
Anna and Lewis understand what makes a great athlete and what it takes to truly be a great coach. They set high expectations - not just in terms of skills, but also in discipline, accountability, and work ethic. They care deeply about their athletes and want them to succeed in every sense, both inside and outside of the gym. Their coaching helped shape me into the athlete and person I am today. I’m excited to see the next generation thrive under their leadership.
